Remove location and camera data
Always on. Redrawing the image in the browser drops EXIF, GPS position and the camera model, so there is no way to keep them here. A photo's rotation is applied to the pixels first, so it stays the right way up.

The SVG is a few lines of shapes and gradients. The PNG is 1024 by 1356 pixels with a transparent background, sharp at that size because the vector was drawn at it, not scaled up.

No. The SVG is read and drawn by your browser in this tab, and the PNG is written on your own machine.
1024 pixels wide suits slides and documents. 2048 is sharp on high density screens and for large banners. 512 is plenty for a profile picture or an app listing. The height follows the SVG's own shape.
Yes, wherever the SVG has no fill. If you need a solid background, convert to JPG and pick the colour under More options.
An SVG drawn as an image cannot fetch web fonts or linked files. Text set in a font your computer does not have falls back to a default font. Convert the text to outlines in your design tool before exporting the SVG to avoid this.
Linked images and external stylesheets are not loaded when an SVG is drawn as an image, for security. Embed images in the SVG, or flatten them in your design tool first.
