Free SCORM packager for video

Package a video as a SCORM 1.2 course in your browser.

Your video

Drag a file here, paste it, or choose one.

.mp4, .webm. Up to 500 MB.

The file travels inside the zip, so your LMS upload limit applies.

Your video never leaves your browser. The zip is built on this machine.

Poster image, optional

Drag a file here, paste it, or choose one.

.png, .jpg, .jpeg, .webp. Up to 5 MB.

Shown before playback starts.

Optional. Skip it and the LMS shows the first frame.

Quiz, optional (0 of 10)

Add questions and the package reports a score instead of a plain completion, passed at 80% or better. Separate the options with a pipe, and type the answer exactly as one of them.

SCORM 1.2, one SCO.

Your package

Worked example

Built from our own 27 second launch film, 7.59 MB. Complete once 90% is watched. 2 questions, 80% pass mark.

Interlace launch film, zip

7.55 MB

  • imsmanifest.xml

SCORM 1.2, one SCO, mastery score 80

  • index.html

Player, LMS API discovery, status and score

  • video.mp4

    Your file, unchanged

The zip is a little smaller than the video because the manifest and player compress well and an MP4 does not. Whatever you put in is what your LMS downloads, so compress the video before packaging if the upload limit is tight.

lesson_status: not set

This page can pretend to be an LMS. Build a package, run it here, and watch the SCORM calls arrive as you play the video.

1. Add your video. 2. Set the completion rule. 3. Add a quiz, if you want a score. 4. Test it, then download.

What Interlace does

From SOP to LMS without a video editor.

  • Upload the SOP and get the training video
  • Export it as SCORM 1.2 on paid plans
  • When the SOP changes, edit the scene and export again

Real Interlace output, unedited. Shown silent and sped up.

Questions

Asked and answered

SCORM 1.2 only, with one SCO. That is the version every LMS still accepts, and it is enough to report completion and a score. There is no SCORM 2004 or xAPI output yet, so if your LMS requires a Tin Can package this is not the tool.

It is a standard SCORM 1.2 package, so an LMS that accepts SCORM 1.2 will accept it: Moodle, Docebo, TalentLMS, Cornerstone and SCORM Cloud all do. We test every build against the simulator on this page rather than against a specific LMS, so run the Test it panel first and upload to SCORM Cloud if you want a second opinion before your real course.

The player sets cmi.core.lesson_status to incomplete when the page opens, then to completed when your rule fires: either the moment playback starts, or once the learner has watched the percentage you set. With a quiz attached it reports passed or failed instead, with the score in cmi.core.score.raw and a pass mark of 80 percent.

The video sits inside the zip, so your LMS upload limit is the real ceiling. Moodle and many hosted platforms cap course uploads well below the 500 MB this page accepts. Compress the file first if the upload is rejected, and keep the poster image small.

No. The zip is assembled in the tab with JSZip and saved from memory. The file never reaches a server of ours, which is the point for a compliance recording that cannot leave your network.

Yes. Paste the CSV it exports into the quiz box: one question a line, as question, options separated by pipes, then the answer. You can also type questions by hand, up to ten.
