Questions

Asked and answered

No. The file is parsed in your browser, the timecodes stay there, and only the numbered cue text is sent. The translated text is written back against the same start and end times, so the file drops straight into the same video.

So one run fits one answer and stays cheap to give away. That is roughly ten minutes of speech. For a longer video, split the file and run it in parts.

It is asked for the shorter natural wording so a cue reads in the time the original had, and each cue stays on one line. Some languages still run long. Check the dense cues before you ship.

Both. Every language downloads as a .srt and as a .vtt, so it works whether your player wants SubRip or WebVTT.

To OpenAI, which generates the result. The text you paste, or the text read from your file, goes from our server to OpenAI's API and nowhere else. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models, and we do not log or keep your input. The result is cached for up to 30 days, so the same text run again comes back fast.

No. The tool is free and there is no sign in. You only need an account when you want Interlace to turn the result into a finished video.
