Everything you need to ship your first video

Start with the five-minute quick start, then dip into any how-to when you need it.

Quick start

The fastest path from idea to a finished, narrated video.

  1. Sign in and click New video.
  2. Paste a script or type a prompt describing what you want to explain.
  3. Pick a language and a voice.
  4. Click Generate. Interlace writes the script, narrates it, and builds the scenes.
  5. Preview the result, make any quick edits, then click Export.

That is it. You can refine the voice, brand, style, and scenes any time after the first pass.

Create from a prompt

  1. Click New video, then choose From prompt.
  2. Type what you want the video to cover. Be specific about audience and tone.
  3. Set the language and voice.
  4. Click Generate to get a draft script and storyboard.
  5. Review the script. Edit any line, then continue to the editor.

Create from a document

  1. Click New video, then choose From document.
  2. Upload a PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, or MD file, or paste a URL.
  3. Choose how closely to follow the source: stay tight to the document, or use it as context.
  4. Click Generate. Interlace structures the content into a narrated video.
  5. Open the editor to adjust scenes and pacing.

Choose or clone a voice

Pick a voice

  1. In the editor, open the Voice panel.
  2. Browse the voice library and preview any voice.
  3. Select one to apply it to the whole video.

Clone a voice (Pro and above)

  1. Open Library, then Voices, and click Clone a voice.
  2. Upload a clean voice sample and confirm you have the rights to use it.
  3. Once the clone is ready, select it like any other voice.
  4. Reuse the same cloned voice across every video for a consistent sound.

Set up a brand kit

  1. Go to Library, then Brand kits, and click New brand kit.
  2. Upload your logo, set your brand colors, and choose your fonts.
  3. Save the kit.
  4. When you create a video, select the brand kit so every scene is on brand automatically.

Plan limits: Creator includes 1 brand kit, Pro 3, and Agency 10.

Use the style builder

  1. Open Style builder from your workspace.
  2. Define the visual look you want, or pull colors and fonts from a brand kit as a starting point.
  3. Save the style.
  4. Apply it to a video so every scene shares one consistent look.

Edit scenes in the browser

  1. Open a video to enter the editor. No software to install.
  2. Click any scene to edit its text, image, and timing.
  3. Regenerate an image or swap in your own from the library.
  4. Adjust narration timing on the timeline.
  5. Preview as you go. Preview renders are free.

Generate multilingual versions

  1. Open a finished video.
  2. Choose Add language and select from 30+ languages.
  3. Interlace translates the on-screen text and generates a native-sounding voiceover.
  4. Review each language version and export it on its own.

Write once, publish in many languages from one source.

Review and approval

  1. Share a video with a reviewer from your workspace.
  2. Reviewers leave comments on specific scenes.
  3. Address the comments in the editor.
  4. Mark the video approved when it is ready to publish.

Versions

  1. Every edit is tracked in the version history.
  2. Open Versions to see past states of the video.
  3. Publish a version, revert to an earlier one, or branch to try a variation.

Add background music

  1. In the editor, open the Music panel.
  2. Pick a track. It loops automatically to fit the video length.
  3. Interlace ducks the music under narration so the voice stays clear.
  4. Adjust the volume if needed, then preview.

Export

  1. Click Export in the header.
  2. Choose your resolution: 720p, 1080p, or 4K.
  3. Browser export is GPU-accelerated and runs in your browser. For scale, use server render.
  4. Download the finished MP4.

Resolution by plan: Free Trial is 720p, Creator up to 1080p, and Pro and above up to 4K. Paid plans export without a watermark.

White-label share

Available on Agency and above.

  1. Open a finished video and choose Share.
  2. For a branded, client-facing page, enable White-label share to remove Interlace branding.
  3. For private review, create a Client preview link and send it to your client.
  4. Manage or revoke links any time from the share settings.

Tips

  • Start from a document when you already have source material. It is faster than writing a prompt from scratch.
  • Set up a brand kit and a style once, then apply both to every new video.
  • Clone your narrator's voice once and reuse it for a consistent brand sound.
  • Preview renders are free, so iterate freely before a final export.
  • Build the English version first, then add languages once you are happy with the script.

Troubleshooting

  • My document did not import cleanly. Check that the file is one of the supported types (PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, MD) or a reachable URL. Very large files may take longer to process.
  • A voice or language option is greyed out. Some voices and features depend on your plan. Premium voices and 4K need Pro or above.
  • My export has a watermark. Watermark-free export is on paid plans. Upgrade from the Free Trial to remove it.
  • The voiceover timing feels off. Adjust scene timing on the timeline in the editor, then preview before exporting.
  • I ran out of credits. Top up with a credit pack or upgrade your plan. See the pricing page for current credit costs.
