Quick start
The fastest path from idea to a finished, narrated video.
- Sign in and click New video.
- Paste a script or type a prompt describing what you want to explain.
- Pick a language and a voice.
- Click Generate. Interlace writes the script, narrates it, and builds the scenes.
- Preview the result, make any quick edits, then click Export.
That is it. You can refine the voice, brand, style, and scenes any time after the first pass.
Create from a prompt
- Click New video, then choose From prompt.
- Type what you want the video to cover. Be specific about audience and tone.
- Set the language and voice.
- Click Generate to get a draft script and storyboard.
- Review the script. Edit any line, then continue to the editor.
Create from a document
- Click New video, then choose From document.
- Upload a PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, or MD file, or paste a URL.
- Choose how closely to follow the source: stay tight to the document, or use it as context.
- Click Generate. Interlace structures the content into a narrated video.
- Open the editor to adjust scenes and pacing.
Choose or clone a voice
Pick a voice
- In the editor, open the Voice panel.
- Browse the voice library and preview any voice.
- Select one to apply it to the whole video.
Clone a voice (Pro and above)
- Open Library, then Voices, and click Clone a voice.
- Upload a clean voice sample and confirm you have the rights to use it.
- Once the clone is ready, select it like any other voice.
- Reuse the same cloned voice across every video for a consistent sound.
Set up a brand kit
- Go to Library, then Brand kits, and click New brand kit.
- Upload your logo, set your brand colors, and choose your fonts.
- Save the kit.
- When you create a video, select the brand kit so every scene is on brand automatically.
Plan limits: Creator includes 1 brand kit, Pro 3, and Agency 10.
Use the style builder
- Open Style builder from your workspace.
- Define the visual look you want, or pull colors and fonts from a brand kit as a starting point.
- Save the style.
- Apply it to a video so every scene shares one consistent look.
Edit scenes in the browser
- Open a video to enter the editor. No software to install.
- Click any scene to edit its text, image, and timing.
- Regenerate an image or swap in your own from the library.
- Adjust narration timing on the timeline.
- Preview as you go. Preview renders are free.
Generate multilingual versions
- Open a finished video.
- Choose Add language and select from 30+ languages.
- Interlace translates the on-screen text and generates a native-sounding voiceover.
- Review each language version and export it on its own.
Write once, publish in many languages from one source.
Review and approval
- Share a video with a reviewer from your workspace.
- Reviewers leave comments on specific scenes.
- Address the comments in the editor.
- Mark the video approved when it is ready to publish.
Versions
- Every edit is tracked in the version history.
- Open Versions to see past states of the video.
- Publish a version, revert to an earlier one, or branch to try a variation.
Add background music
- In the editor, open the Music panel.
- Pick a track. It loops automatically to fit the video length.
- Interlace ducks the music under narration so the voice stays clear.
- Adjust the volume if needed, then preview.
Export
- Click Export in the header.
- Choose your resolution: 720p, 1080p, or 4K.
- Browser export is GPU-accelerated and runs in your browser. For scale, use server render.
- Download the finished MP4.
Resolution by plan: Free Trial is 720p, Creator up to 1080p, and Pro and above up to 4K. Paid plans export without a watermark.
White-label share
Available on Agency and above.
- Open a finished video and choose Share.
- For a branded, client-facing page, enable White-label share to remove Interlace branding.
- For private review, create a Client preview link and send it to your client.
- Manage or revoke links any time from the share settings.
Tips
- Start from a document when you already have source material. It is faster than writing a prompt from scratch.
- Set up a brand kit and a style once, then apply both to every new video.
- Clone your narrator's voice once and reuse it for a consistent brand sound.
- Preview renders are free, so iterate freely before a final export.
- Build the English version first, then add languages once you are happy with the script.
Troubleshooting
- My document did not import cleanly. Check that the file is one of the supported types (PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, MD) or a reachable URL. Very large files may take longer to process.
- A voice or language option is greyed out. Some voices and features depend on your plan. Premium voices and 4K need Pro or above.
- My export has a watermark. Watermark-free export is on paid plans. Upgrade from the Free Trial to remove it.
- The voiceover timing feels off. Adjust scene timing on the timeline in the editor, then preview before exporting.
- I ran out of credits. Top up with a credit pack or upgrade your plan. See the pricing page for current credit costs.
