Everything you need to ship your first video

Quick start

The fastest path from idea to a finished, narrated video.

1. Sign in and click Create in the sidebar.
2. Paste a script or type a prompt describing what you want to explain.
3. Pick a style, a voice and a language from the buttons under the box.
4. Press the arrow button. Interlace writes the script, narrates it, and builds the scenes.
5. Preview the result, ask the chat for any quick changes, then click Export.

That is it. You can refine the voice, brand, style, and scenes any time after the first pass.

Create from a prompt

1. Click Create, then choose Prompt.
2. Type what you want the video to cover. Be specific about audience and tone.
3. Set the language and voice.
4. Leave Review script on and press the arrow button to get a draft script and scene plan.
5. Review the script. Edit any line, then press Approve and continue.

Create from a document

1. Click Create, then choose Document.
2. Upload a PDF, DOCX, TXT, or MD file under File, a slide deck under Presentation, or paste a link under URL.
3. Choose how closely to follow the source: Source of truth stays tight to the document, Reference & context uses it as background.
4. Press the arrow button. Interlace structures the content into a narrated video.
5. Open the editor to adjust scenes and pacing.

Choose a voice or record your own

Pick a voice

1. In the editor, open a scene's settings: click the scene you are on in the strip under the canvas, or press P.
2. Click the voice under the narration and pick one from the list.
3. Press Re-record to hear that scene in the new voice. To change every scene at once, ask the chat on the left, for example "More energetic voice everywhere".

Record your own voice (in early testing, available soon)

Recording your own narrator voice is not open yet. When it is, you will record it in the app after reading a consent line on screen, then select it like any other voice.

Create a custom style

1. Go to Library, then Styles, and click New style.
2. Assets & AI analysis: upload reference images or existing material and let the analysis suggest a starting point.
3. Palette: set your brand colors.
4. Typography: choose your heading and body fonts.
5. Logo & watermark: upload your logo, and turn on the watermark if you want your mark on the video itself.
6. Preview image: generate a sample frame to check the look before you commit.
7. Review & save: name the style and save it.
8. When you create a video, select the style so every scene carries your logo, colors, fonts, and visual look automatically.

Plan limits: Creator includes 1 custom style, Pro 3, and Agency 10.

Edit scenes in the browser

1. Open a video to enter the editor. No software to install.
2. Type what should change in the chat on the left, such as "Make scene 2 shorter", or start from a suggestion above the box.
3. To point at one part of a scene, press V (Select) and click it, or drag on the picture to mark a region, then say what to change.
4. Click the scene you are on in the strip under the canvas (or press P) to open its settings. There you can edit the narration, Redraw or Edit the picture, or Replace it with your own image.
5. On the timeline, drag the edges of a numbered region to change when that part of the picture appears.
6. Preview as you go. Preview renders are free.

Generate multilingual versions

1. Open a finished video in the editor.
2. Click the language chip at the top (for example EN-US), choose Add language… and select from 28 languages. You can also ask the chat, for example "Translate to French".
3. Interlace translates the on-screen text and generates a native-sounding voiceover.
4. Review each language version and export it on its own.

Write once, publish in many languages from one source.

Review and approval

1. Share a video with a reviewer from your workspace.
2. Reviewers leave comments on specific scenes.
3. Address the comments in the editor.
4. A formal approval step, where a reviewer signs off on the video, is coming soon.

Versions

1. Each version you publish is kept in the version history.
2. In the editor, open the More menu (the three dots at the top right) and choose Version history.
3. Publish a version, compare two, or restore an earlier one.

Add background music

1. In the editor, ask the chat for background music, or open a scene's settings and click Music (whole video).
2. Pick a track. It loops automatically to fit the video length.
3. Interlace ducks the music under narration so the voice stays clear.
4. Adjust the volume if needed, then preview.

Export

1. Click Export in the header.
2. Choose your resolution: 720p, 1080p, or 4K.
3. Browser export is GPU-accelerated and runs in your browser. For scale, use server render.
4. Download the finished MP4.

Resolution by plan: Free Trial is 720p, Creator up to 1080p, and Pro and above up to 4K. Paid plans export without a watermark.

White-label share

Available on Agency and above.

1. Open a finished video and choose Share.
2. For a branded, client-facing page, enable White-label share to remove Interlace branding.
3. For private review, create a Client preview link and send it to your client.
4. Manage or revoke links any time from the share settings.

Tips

• Start from a document when you already have source material. It is faster than writing a prompt from scratch.
• Set up a custom style once, then apply it to every new video.
• Keep one narrator voice across every video for a consistent brand sound.
• Preview renders are free, so iterate freely before a final export.
• Build the English version first, then add languages once you are happy with the script.

Troubleshooting

• My document did not import cleanly. Check that the file is one of the supported types (PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, MD) or a reachable URL. Very large files may take longer to process.
• A voice or language option is greyed out. Some voices and features depend on your plan. 4K needs Pro or above. Premium voices (coming soon) will too.
• My export has a watermark. Watermark-free export is on paid plans. Upgrade from the Free Trial to remove it.
• The voiceover timing feels off. A scene lasts as long as its narration. Ask the chat to make the scene shorter, or edit the narration in the scene's settings, press Save, then Re-record. To change when part of the picture appears, drag its region on the timeline. Preview before exporting.
• I ran out of credits. On a paid plan, top up with a credit pack or move to a bigger plan. On the Free Trial, choose a plan. See the pricing page for current credit costs.
