Remove location and camera data
Always on. Redrawing the image in the browser drops EXIF, GPS position and the camera model, so there is no way to keep them here. A photo's rotation is applied to the pixels first, so it stays the right way up.

JPG needs more bytes than WebP for the same look, so the file grew. It is still small, and a JPG goes into any document, slide or form.

No. The WebP is decoded by your browser and written as JPG in this tab. Nothing is sent anywhere.
JPG for photos, because the file stays small. PNG for logos, screenshots and anything with transparency, because JPG fills clear areas with a solid colour and blurs sharp edges slightly.
JPG cannot store transparency. Clear pixels are filled with the background colour under More options, white unless you change it. Without that step they would turn black.
The WebP was already compressed once and JPG compresses it again, so a little detail goes. At quality 90 it is hard to see. Lower the quality only if you need a smaller file.
