Worked example

A real run on our 2 minute 17 second video on the immune system. 1,949 characters of transcript went to the model for the summary.

How the immune system fights infection

5 chapters

The immune system uses physical barriers, rapid innate defenses, and targeted adaptive responses to detect and remove potential invaders. When an infection persists, immune cells coordinate to produce antibodies and destroy infected cells, while memory cells help the body respond faster if the same threat returns. Vaccines build this memory safely, and immune signals help calm inflammation once danger is controlled.

Key points

  • Skin, mucus, tears, saliva, and stomach acid help block or remove microbes.
  • Innate immune cells respond quickly to danger signals, while inflammation and complement proteins help contain threats.
  • Dendritic cells present microbial fragments to T cells, which help activate B cells and coordinate the response.
  • B cells produce antibodies, and killer T cells destroy infected body cells.
  • Memory cells remain after an infection and can respond faster to the same threat.
  • Vaccines build immune memory without causing the full disease.
  • Immune signals calm inflammation to limit damage to the body's own tissues.

Only its sound. Your browser takes the audio track out of the file and sends it to our server, where the Whisper speech model transcribes it on Cloudflare, our hosting provider. The transcript text then goes to an OpenAI language model to write the summary. The picture never leaves your device. We do not log or keep the audio or the text, neither is used to train AI models, and the summary is cached for up to 30 days so a repeat run is quick.

It summarizes a video file you have. We do not download videos from YouTube or any other site. If the video is yours, download it from YouTube Studio and drop the file in here.

From the transcript. Every line Whisper writes carries the second it was spoken, and the model is told to start each chapter on one of those lines, so the times point at real moments in the video. Paste the list into a YouTube description and it becomes clickable chapters.

Up to 10 minutes, the limit of the transcription step. The summary reads up to 24,000 characters of transcript, far more than 10 minutes of speech usually makes: our 2 minute 17 second example came to 1,949 characters. For a longer recording, split it into parts.

A title, a short summary, the key points and the chapter list, to copy or download as plain text, and the full transcript as a TXT file.
