Comparison
Interlace vs Elai
Elai centres an AI presenter and converts decks into avatar videos. Interlace generates illustrated scenes from your documents, with no presenter to cast.
The short answer
Interlace or Elai?
Looking for an Elai alternative usually means one of two things: you want the document-to-video speed without an avatar, or you have outgrown a per-video tool and need team workflow. Elai is avatar-led. It builds a video around an AI presenter, converts PPTX and article URLs into slides for that presenter, and offers voice cloning and translation on top.
Interlace works from the document to the picture instead of the document to a presenter. Upload a PDF, DOCX, PPTX, or paste a script, and it writes scenes, narrates them, and illustrates them in a designed or hand-drawn sketch style. Your logo, colors, and fonts land on every scene automatically.
The second difference is scale. Interlace generates 28 languages from the source rather than dubbing a finished cut and keeps a version history. Review and approval, bulk generation from templates and data, and a REST API with webhooks are coming soon.

FAQ
Interlace vs Elai, answered
Yes. Interlace never puts a presenter on screen unless you want stock or uploaded imagery there. It illustrates the content itself, narrated by a premium AI voice. Recording your own voice is in early testing, available soon.
Yes. Upload the PPTX and pick one scene per slide, up to 60 slides, with your speaker notes read word for word, or let Interlace restructure the deck. Either way the slides are rebuilt as narrated scenes rather than pasted behind a presenter.
It generates each language from the source, so the voiceover and the on-screen text are both localized. That is different from dubbing an existing cut, where the text on screen stays in the original language.
Interlace. Version history is part of the platform today, and review and approval, bulk generation, and a REST API with webhooks are coming soon.
Choose Elai if an AI presenter is what you want and price is the deciding factor. Choose Interlace if the content should be illustrated, on brand, multilingual from source, and produced by a team rather than a person.
